Confirm the symptom in PackGuru

Open the robot detail view. A vacuum leak shows as pick time rising gradually over hours while the other robots absorb load — not as a sudden fault. If pick time jumped in one cycle, this is not a leak: check the mechanical section instead.

Inspect the vacuum hose along its full length

Trace the hose from the pump manifold to the suction cup holder. Look for chafing where the hose passes the energy chain — this is the most common wear point on the cap sorter.

Robots can keep running. Inspect between picks — do not reach into the working envelope.

Check the fitting at the suction cup seat

A cracked cup seat gives the same signature as a worn hose. Wiggle the fitting gently — any play means the seat is compromised. Replacement seat: part VS-118, stocked in the line-side cabinet.

Decide: replace now or monitor

If the hose is worn but holding and pick time is stable, you can schedule the swap for the next changeover. If pick time is still trending up, replace now — a full leak will stop the robot mid-shift.

Close the loop in PackGuru

Expected result: pick time returns to baseline within 15 minutes of the fix. If it doesn't, escalate to maintenance — the leak may be at the pump manifold, not the robot.
