Read the variance pattern in PackGuru

Open the tank detail view. A dirty probe shows slow drift with noisy spikes; a damaged probe shows flat-lining or sudden steps. The alert tells you which pattern triggered — check it before touching anything.

Wait for the batch gap, isolate the tank

Do not pull the probe mid-batch — the level reading feeds the dosing loop. Switch the tank to manual level hold from the HMI, then proceed.

Product contact part — gloves and rinse bottle required. Follow the hygiene procedure for open-tank work.

Remove and inspect the probe tip

Residue build-up on the tip is the usual cause with viscous products — it reads as level variance long before dosing is visibly off. Wipe with a lint-free cloth and approved cleaner. Check the tip for cracks or discoloration.

Clean the probe seat and refit

Clean the seat thread, refit the probe, torque hand-tight plus a quarter turn. Overtightening cracks the seal and creates the same variance signature a week later.

Verify the reading and close the alert

Return the tank to auto. Watch the live reading in PackGuru for two minutes — variance should collapse to baseline. Log the finding: dirty, damaged, or false positive. Your answer tunes the next alert.

Expected result: reading variance back inside the normal band within one batch. If variance persists after cleaning, the probe is failing internally — order replacement part LS-207 and keep the tank on manual hold.
